Hi there, I offer a few different postage rates on my site

Envelope size
Package size
Registered
etc

It seems to default at the lowest rate, but I need to have it on the Package size as default as that is what 90% of my orders get sent with. I can't figure out how to set that so appreciate any help :D

You can not default the delivery method for order because the delivery methods are worked out by the delivery destination and order weight. If 90% of the orders are to sent by Package Size, you may need to modify your delivery method Envelope Size by reducing the weight range etc.

I just have set rates, so it doesn't work on weight or destination.

You can still set the Envelope Size delivery method as flat rate, but only apply to a certain weight range.

Keep the Base Postage, Unit, and Unit Price, modify the Min Weight and Max Weight values.

I gave this a go, but it didn't work.

Because I have a 'flat rate' postage, I never enter weights for my products as it doesn't matter. So if I change the min weight of the envelope to 1 then the customers can't choose it as the product weighs 0.

Is there any other way for me to do this?

The other way is to limit the associated delivery zones.

For example, associate your delivery method to N1 zone only will not allow customers from other areas to select this delivery method.

No that won't work as it is a set rate for anything that will fit in an envelope size, so will be there for anyone anywhere in Australia
