If my customer selects Paypal as method of payment should they be redirected to the paypal site automatically after checkout. It is what I was expecting but did not happen.

Check if you've set up the delivery methods (postage). The delivery methods should be associated to the delivery zones.

If the customer's delivery address does not match any delivery method, no delivery fee can be worked out, and they will not be redirected to Paypal for payment.

The menu item is Set up -> Delivery -> Edit Delivery Methods.

These fields were already set up. I don't charge delivery fees as the are digital goods delivered by email.

I did a test sale a couple of weeks ago and it worked, now it's not.

Base Postage ($)0.00
Unit (kg) 0.00
Unit Price ($) 0.00
Min. Wieght (kg)0.00
Max. Wieght (kg)0.00

store name is white-elephant

The system assumes the delivery charge shoud be greater than 0 - which might not be correct. We'll look into this later.

I would suggest you go to Admin Panel -> Setup -> Customer Checkout Delivery Options and create a new option, eg, Email Delivery and make sure you select the code "Pickup" and publish = 'true'.

As long as system sees the code "pick up", it would not calculate the delivery charge.

Also remember to un-publish your existing delivery option.
